Yoko Masuda
Acupuncturist
Yoko holds an acupuncture degree from the Tokyo acupuncture University as well as a Bachelor in Education from the Tokyo Woman's Collage of Physical Education.
She specializes in Japanese needling technique (gentle and effective needling), Moxabustion (specific deep heat), Therme (heat massage) and Cupping.
The combination of these skills, the thoroughness of her treatments, her warm personality, and her relentless pursuit of holistic health education makes her a powerful partner your health and wellbeing.
After working for several acupuncture clinics in Tokyo, she worked for Cirque du Soleil touring shows for over 15 years. During that time, she helped a range of performers (acrobats, musicians, actors) as well as staff members by tailoring her treatments to suit the needs of this diverse group.
She addresses root causes of problems and helps her clients navigate their own pathways to better health.
Yoko lives and works in the University area with her husband and children.
She is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and member of the College Of Acupuncturist of Alberta (CAA).
Gérald Gosselin
Physiotherapist
Gerald holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of British Columbia, with a specialization in health and wellness, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Over the last 20 years he has been the Head Physical Therapist for various Cirque du Soleil touring productions travelling around the world. Previously, he worked in private practice and was the Head Trainer for the UofA women’s soccer team. He is fluently bilingual (French and English) and has completed post-graduate courses in manual therapy, needling, strength and conditioning, as well as numerous others.
His extensive experience combined with his focus on health and wellness has helped his patients from all backgrounds achieve their goals.
Gerald lives and works in the University area and continues to explore the world with his wife and two school aged girls.
He is a registered Physical Therapist and a member of the Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association.
